Labor Day Weekend-so far.

Getting to the concert... with our emergency panchos on :-]

We didn't even get to hear 'Your Body is a Wonderland'--booooo!

Me, Braxie, Jessie and Lor--ready for One Republic to open for John Mayer!

Hello All!! So, for my best friend Lori's birthday (July 3rd) and my birthday I got us tickets to see John Mayer at the Ford Ampitheatre! Because they were so expensive I got us lawn seats--which is normally really cool, sitting outside listening to the music in the evening. However, yesterday with the hurricane passing by to our left side there was rain ALL DAY LONG. We ended up having fun, but were all pretty waterlogged and dirty by the end of the night :-)

Elyse had to miss this concert because she was at her father's house this weekend... but we are going to see the Jonas Brothers at the same place on Thursday... It is her reward for reading like she was supposed to this summer. She has been excited for months now! I can't wait to see her smile a big SMILE--it's been a long time since she has just let go and had a lot of fun. She deserves it. She is such a good girl, and has been through so much this year. YEAAAA for the Jonas Brothers!
Wooowwwwweeeeeee!! Look at those wet pants!

Taking a short nap during John Mayer's 14 minute song...

Sunday

Mommy's little man with his 'I get my muscles from my dad' shirt on. We have been having fun visiting Aunt Lori, Uncle pat and the kids this weekend. Tomorrow we get to see Aunt Jules who is getting here from Louisiana just in time to miss the storm! We can't wait to see her!!!!

Under Orders...

...from Mrs. Amy Kinard. I am posting pics of the kids from the past week... Kayne has Grandma Lynda's high chair from when she was a baby and he LOVES it! He's eating lots of new food, and using the two (almost three) teeth that he has :-)

He also got a new toy a few weeks ago. It is a music table that he pulls himself up on. The other day he actually pushed it from the living room into the dining room! WOW! He's on his way to becoming a walker!

We love Daddy's packages!! Lyse gets SO stinkin' excited when we get a package from Daddy... he sent new pictures of himself this time, AND some of the things from his room so we could have a piece of him! He is doing OK, but misses us LOTS and wants to come home to spend a Christmas with us for a change...

Before school started, Elyse gave me a fashion show of her school clothes. They expanded the uniforms to be ANY color polo top with khaki bottoms! NICE! She was super excited, and has worn hot pink polos to celebrate!

As of today I am down 69 pounds since the day I gave birth to Kayne. I have almost reached my pre-Elyse high school weight... only 15 lbs. to go! I am excited about sharing my hard work and success with Bryan when he gets home. No more babies for a while, though--this was too much work :-P

C-ya later obesity! No more of you! LOL! :-))

Catching Up...Promising to continue!!

Second Year, Same School...

The First day of school!! Elyse was so stoked that she was headed to the SAME school for the second year! She has never gotten to do that before! She knows right where everything is, and was excited to see the same friends too. I was happy for her, because she wasn't that nervous to start--like she normally is. Her teacher's name is Mrs. Kinner and she seems to like her so far.

~Tooth Fairy~

In one week... we gained Kayne's FIRST tooth, and lost one of Elyse's. The tooth fairy has been busy around here!! Now Kayne has his second tooth coming through on the top as well--it should be here by the end of the week. Woweee! They should pay her overtime. :-)

Mommy is OLD!!

It was my birthday on August 15th and Elyse was like... you're 25, right Mom?? LOL! No, Lysee... Mommy is OLD! It was a low-key evening, but I got out with a few friends to the movies and had a GREAT time!! Thanks to everyone for phone calls and Lots of Love!!
